Dr. Rugved Likhite

Rugved Likhite received his bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2014. He was awarded an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2017 and 2020, respectively. The primary focus of his doctorate dissertation was the development of low-power gas sensors for IoT applications. He is an expert in MEMS-based gas sensor design and microfabrication process development. He is currently working as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation’s principal technology development facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. He is part of the Metals team that focuses on the development of ultra-thin metallic films for backend interconnects in Intel’s next generation of process nodes.
