Dr. Niladri Banerjee

Niladri Banerjee was born in Kolkata, India, in 1989. He received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and communications engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, India, in 2011. He graduated with an integrated MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Utah in 2015 under the tutelage of Dr. Mastrangelo. His PhD thesis was on microfabricated microballoon pressure sensors for 3D pressure sensing. Other important projects he had the privilege to work on include microchip self-transience, integrated multi-sensor platform for IOT devices, micro-nebulizer and other novel designs/devices for MEMS/microfluidics applications.

He is now working at Intel Corporation as a Packaging R&D Engineer, working on process R&D for manufacturing advanced digital technology platforms consisting of microprocessors and chipsets for a wide range of computing applications including notebooks, desktops, tablets, smartphones and IOTs. Key areas of  contributions include process development & qualification of novel thin films, integrated dielectric stack development, most advanced assembly and packaging platform development  and several automation optimization projects.
