Erfan Pourshaban

Erfan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Material science and engineering from the University of Tehran. Working on the ZnO nanostructures and its optoelectronic characteristics inspired him to pursue a PhD focusing on semiconductor materials and devices at the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Utah. As a part of the smart contact lens project, he is working on the power scavenging for these kinds of wearable electronics. Silicon and perovskite solar cells together with triboelectric power generators are among the devices which he is trying to use to supply power for the smart contact lenses.
